Here are several interior pics of K and L's digs, as well as us out getting gezellig at their favorite local bar -favorite at least in part because it has a cat (named Bob, I think - correct me, L!) who basically owns the place and who, they tell me, curls up next to the nacho machine of a coolish evening. Notice that through the kitchen you can see a patio beyond. Yes, they even have a huge outdoor deck/patio area which looks out over the lovely yards and terraces, overflowing with plants, flowers, and interesting accoutrements, of their neighbors. You could be in the suburbs, from the look of it, but Amsterdam in all its bustling glory is right around the corner!
