While Carter was attending a Marlowe conference in Canterbury, I traveled to Holland and Belgium to hang out with L and K and to explore for our old houses, among other things. My home away from home was L and K's amazing apartment, seen to the left, which is right in the central part of Amsterdam in an area that manages to be both residential and impossibly cool and happening at the same time. Their apartment is the one above the gigantic door. Now, the Dutch ARE the tallest people in the world, but even THIS might be too tall for them! Actually, is was a carriage house back in the day. The door to the right is theirs.

To the Continent! June 30 to July 5
